There isn't a single city in California that is even half as dense as Paris. We don't have any extremely dense cities in this state. Every city in California needs to be building more housing.

The CalFire report on single-stair reform, commissioned by the legislature, came out two months late, lacks any original fire safety research, and seems to be brushing off the clear intent of the legislature by blithely calling for a one story increase.
