o1-preview and o1-mini are available today (ramping over some number of hours) in ChatGPT for plus and team users and our API for tier 5 users.

a fine-tuned version of o1 scored at the 49th percentile in the IOI under competition conditions! and got gold with 10k submissions per problem.
extremely proud of the team; this was a monumental effort across the entire company.

It's definitely worth mentioning that is charging 3x per input token 4x per output token for the regular version, and 20x per token (both input and output) for the mini model.

Still no solution for backward propagating reasoning? I am not sure how you get to "general-purpose complex reasoning" without it unless you intend to scale out attention forever.

Glad to see the progress but I still need wolfram alpha, multiple chats + complex prompts for solving 1 engineering question. I need ISO, ASTM, and ASHRAE standards which are behind paywalls
