To be clear, the call where you guys said the plan was to *pretend* you wanted improvements as a smokescreen for just trying to kill the whole thing already leaked — you don’t need to keep pretending!

tons of smart people are looking at the bill and the strong transmission provisions and weighing whether the many fossil fuel giveways are worth it, or whether some of the bad stuff can be taken out. Not sure why this all spurs so much invective & assholery.

Most Democrats want to vote for something that has broadly the structure of BAJAA or EPRA but don’t want to get on the wrong side of the groups, so the biggest impediment is this specter of some hypothetical bill they will endorse which creates a pretext to defer the choice.
Was that guy specifically on that call? Or are you just kind of lumping any opposition to the bill for whatever reason as being disingenuous (without a hint of irony)
Hi lifelong dem here. every single state has different energy needs, different energy sources, different infrastructure not to mention the actual power co ops or companies. looking for a one size fits all at the federal level will stymie innovation and conservation
