Elon Musk, after firing government employees who wouldโ€™ve otherwise taken government funds (I.e. taxes) and spent them in our public economy: โ€œI sure helped our public economy and taxpayers with this oneโ€
These Elon try hards complaining about US government funded research will be whining when the US is a flaming wreck in 4 years time about China overtaking the US in technology and Science
I swear these people have no passion in life... Even if it's "useless" I'll spend my life looking at ugly fish swimming
everyone pray nobody tells elon about the (GOVERNMENT?) factory in texas that produces boxes of sterile worms to airdrop onto panama. if he hears about it we genuinely may see a return of flies that lay their eggs in live human flesh to central & north america within our lifetime
headed by a man that was supposed to go to the moon last year. With a social media site that lost 80% of its value. And a car company that's been promising technologies since 2016. Elon is at risk of bankruptcy if a recession hits.
Honestly the most depressing part of this whole discourse is the realization of how many people think there's good/useful science and bad/useless science, and that we can tell which is which
do you actually believe the idea of crop rotation (which came from practical experience) relates to the contemporary practice of people leeching off of governmental largess?
I get it, but I've also been on government trips where the PIs spent a month scuba diving. $3M for a taxpayer funded vacation, and another 11 months of pretending to science. 2 papers published across 30 people.
"1 in 256 studies the govt conducts result in a half decent product, let's give them all of our money while we struggle to live paycheck to paycheck!" Said the retard
Maybe they should because all this cute research about bugs is used to just kill them more effectively.
Do you really think the concept of crop rotation, rooted in practical experience, has anything to do with todayโ€™s trend of people relying on government support?

I love when these guys find out about a new kind of job for the very first time and are immediately like โ€œwell, women MUST be bad at itโ€
A screenshot of an Ian Miles Cheong tweet about a female conductor: โ€œsheโ€™s completely out of time and drawing way too much attention to herself away from the orchestra and her music. I hate this new style of conductingโ€ (he is wrong and an idiot)
Conductors are famously so theatrical that they made a Looney Tunes about it starring Bugs Bunny

For 20% of SF's public transit budget you could buy and run a fleet of 15,000 Waymos and let everyone ride for free. Thats enough to cover the entire ridership of SF's public bus system with much better service. Assumptions: -Conservative 12 year average life of the Waymo with
