This is why we can’t have nice things. CA has to satisfy every niche group with bureaucracy. There’s an awesome project to re-light up the bay bridge & a lawsuit has been brought against it bc it will discriminate against people who can’t tolerate the intensity of LED lights.

In the category of why we can’t have nice things: A CEQA lawsuit has been filed against the Bay Lights project β€” an iconic & popular light installation on the Bay Bridge by @IlluminatedArts that’s being made permanent. CEQA is the law that swallowed CA. It needs to be reformed.

Yeah, last time I remember fish flopping, whales dying, container ships crashing, and people having grand mal seizures. Get real.
β€œLED light travels great distance”, as opposed to what other light? lol. Btw, I see the problem, but the solution is to simply use yellow, dim LED. Looks better and doesn’t make anyone stay awake. While countries in Europe already have been through this boring debate.
I'm not a fan of the way CEQA is used. But I also think adding the previous set of lights to the bridge in 2013 was a net aesthetic loss. And I don't see how twice as many, with strobing, wouldn't be worse. Where's the "down on CEQA but also down on tacky light displays" camp?
This is dumb because the lights have already been up and functioning. What’s their answer to that? It’s only now they got more funding they bring this nuisancey lawsuit.
I cannot neurologically tolerate the supreme stupidity of the left. Leftism is discrimination against us sane, normal people who use our brains.
