Was visible from the ISS too.
Isn’t there a “corridor” cleared ahead of time in the event of a starship failure…?
Impressive how efficient the system is. And this is all real people, sitting in front of screens talking to each other in real-time as the event occurs.
Looking to remove static or particulate in processes that manufacture products in continuous strands like piping, hoses, tubing, cables, or extruded shapes? EXAIR's Super Ion Air Wipe offers a 360° solution that could be your answer. More in today's blog.
Wow , frustrating for some people, but the rewards are out of this world !
I suppose this is meant to be comforting, but …
nice, ours super clean at a certain point, which i believe is the launch window
Do you think that after flight 7 they already had s37 ready to go so they didn't really bother to make many changes and just kick it out to see what happens?
I mean, can't be far off?
"This is your captain speaking, sorry folks gonna have to circle a bit, Elon blew up another one"
The only thing wrong with this is that the debris was about 20 miles above the airplanes until the mid Atlantic
Folks don’t realize just how lucky we were when the Shuttle Columbia broke up it didn’t kill anyone on the ground or in aircraft…
Busy manufacturing facilities have many uses for pneumatic vacuums in their process, whether it's cleaning chips from coolants, transferring liquids, or even cleaning up messes.
Learn about the different vacuum options here at EXAIR in today's blog.
How long is the debris expected to be up there? Wouldn't it have all fallen back to earth before they could get any of this done?
This looks like a dicey, mad scramble.
So to those of you who are challenged:
The actual planes are not that big and the footage is heavily sped up. This is a very orderly and slow process.
Someone (human preferably instead of AI) may pls explain the tweet. Is US the debris?

Anyone know what the potential negative implications may be for Starship/Spacex? Seems a bit too close for comfort but what do I know.
That’s why SpaceX needs to launch from Florida. Any debris would land WAAAAY out in the Atlantic.
Can we conclude that this occasion is managed better than the previous one?
Modern communication and the mostly distributed system that handled international air traffic are an incredible achievement.
That's super interesting. Nice work! #SpaceXexplosion #debris
How high up into orbit does something the size of starship have to get for it to burn up upon "rapid deconstruction"?
I can’t believe they’d just dump all that fuel and debris in this great nation’s gulf!
I didn’t think there was this many planes flying at the same time or even around the Caribbeans.
Nice and so, why do we pay a carbon tax in canada? Look at all that jet fuel being burned 24/7 all around the world.
, write a program a can run in python that is a replica of this simulation.
are the planes avoiding this area of water because it’s full of dirty Mexican pee?
Context from the Post and Replies:Scott Manley, a well-known space and aviation enthusiast, is likely referencing a recent space event, such as a rocket launch or reentry (e.g., a SpaceX mission, given the mention of debris and the Gulf of Mexico, a common area for SpaceX

Yeah, that job looks easy enough to hire any random person based on their skin color and sexual preference
SpaceX needs to get their act together before the FAA puts the hammer down on them.
I can see assorted airlines making some unpleasant phone calls to the FAA.
such a hassle to do. elon needs to stop this bullshit. hes putting innocent lives at risk in the air and in the sea.
0-2 this variant. Map used as a metal baseball bat by chaos media and demoncrats. , get QC back. It has degraded with SS and Falcon. Yes SS is still in development. I suspect foul play or stupidity caused.
Elon as head of DOGE has firing authority other the FAA. Now the FAA is literally prioritizing Starship flights over passenger airline flights.

Since the mishap investigation is still open the FAA has not signed off on the Starship safety but is still allowing them to launch anyway. In the last launch commercial airline flights had to be diverted after the Starship. Then, in effect, the FAA is prioritizing Starship x.com/rgregoryclark/…
Show more What are the planes that are spawning in the center of the exclusion zone? A few disappear throughout the video in that area, but then like 6 all appear the second the TFR lifts? I thought that area was cleared of people??
This whole ordeal was incredibly dangerous, an out of control hunk of metal with heat shielding being shotgunned to the ground. If they don’t halt the program to do a thorough investigation, then there’s some serious corruption going on
What do we think the total cost was for all these airlines? Not sure if they'd have to refund tickets or otherwise compensate customers.
I am always amazed at just how many aircraft are flying at any one time in these displays. (but of course it’s exaggerated due to scale & size of aircraft icons)
Imagine the amount of $$$ that cost the airline industry collectively in extra fuel to fly around rather than direct.....

During Starship's ascent burn, the vehicle experienced a rapid unscheduled disassembly and contact was lost. Our team immediately began coordination with safety officials to implement pre-planned contingency responses.
We will review the data from today's flight test to better

When will the airlines etc be compensated by Elon Musk for the delays, refunds, etc they are owed for this debacle?
I had no idea ADS-B coverage was so poor that planes routinely dropped out for so long even in the middle of the Gulf and over the Caribbean.
Elon Musk probably, for the second time in a week: “why aren’t these planes flying straight? THEY SHOULD?!?”
I can imagine panic of the pilots who suddenly received an announcement of unexpected meteor shower on their route.
Ok totally random but why do all of the planes flying near Bermuda just appear and disappear from being tracked?
Scott, what do you make of the economics of this? Should a launch company like SpaceX be able to simply disrupt other activities like this without covering their costs?
I wonder why companies do not place a lawsuit. The economic impact should be enormous.
