Demand Progress’ biggest donor is the Omidyar Network.

I could spin out a conspiracy theory about this, but I’m not sure I actually think it’s less virtuous to be funded by a successful entrepreneur than to get your money from a tobacco heiress like the Arca Foundation.
At the end of the day, the merits of the work stand or fall.
That's a clever workaround, but it definitely makes you wonder about full transparency. Markets hate that kind of opacity, reminds me of what often points out.
