Because of its fiscal sponsorship arrangement, RDP doesn’t need to file its own 990 and chooses not to voluntarily disclose its donors.
But you can find some foundations making grants to RDP on their own forms.

What are they?
Democracy Fund was created by eBay Founder Pierre Omidyar.
Demand Progress’ biggest donor is the Omidyar Network.

I could spin out a conspiracy theory about this, but I’m not sure I actually think it’s less virtuous to be funded by a successful entrepreneur than to get your money from a tobacco heiress like the Arca Foundation.
At the end of the day, the merits of the work stand or fall.
That's a clever workaround, but it definitely makes you wonder about full transparency. Markets hate that kind of opacity, reminds me of what often points out.
