Its not talked about alot, if at all. But this moment where Captain Picard has to maintain his composure not only as a Starfleet Officer but as the Captain of the Enterprise. The pause and the deep breaths and the slow exhale as he’s fighting to hold it together and is aware of it and losing that battle against his grief that he has to excuse himself from duty is one of my favourites amongst so many.

I also appreciate in the movies they kept Deannas "I am an empath so I know something is wrong" powers, when everyone else can just read the room. Oh really Deanna? He's upset? Glad your on the bridge for some reason lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂 the way you make it seem is 100% accurate lol but it never bothered me as i'm too invested in the drama of the situation lol
He just received word that his brother and nephew died in a barn fire. Made more impactful by the fact that his relationship with both is actually explored at one point in the series.

Incredible. I think often about his silence in the Ready Room when Ro betrays him. Without uttering a word he absolutely dominates the screen. And scares the life out of Riley!
This is what happens when you put an actor's actor in any role, and give them the time and permission to do the work.
Not the best TNG film, however, It goes to show that the normal Starfleet uniforms sucked, and that all of Star Trek would have been improved by using 19th century naval uniforms.
I just rewatched all TNG, the movies and Picard this summer so I'll be doing it again starting tonight
I watched this last night because I thought it was probably the most fitting piece of STAR TREK for the moment and JFC did it ever keep getting more and more fitting as it went on.
I loved this reveal for the Ent D for its theatrical debut. It’s a gorgeous set and the actors are all invested. Perfect Trek.
