I didn't sign up for any of this and I feel like a baddie, I hate it.
I mean I’m going to be real my general impression of him and others like him (e.g. WanderingDreamer) is that they are the subset of neoreactionary who actively get off to the knowledge they are the baddies
They know they are bad and delight in doing things they know are morally wrong. They are wicked.
Ime, people from cosseted backgrounds like this generally don’t perceive of humanity for people who come from socio economic profiles below upper middle class places (eg Walnut Creek)
In New Orleans I saw a handwritten cardboard sign posted high up on a telephone pole, "think that you might be wrong." Felt very poignant to me but I have no idea if that message sticks with the people it's supposed to.

I feel like that requires a level of introspection most people achieve after clearing the "should I Google this before having an opinion" bar.
A lot of people are showing their true colors these days. And an unfortunate thing that I have seen a lot of personally is a complete lack of concern for the suffering of others outside the US. It's rather jarring to hear someone say "why should I care?" about the potential deaths of millions.
