The law is very clear. Trump only had the legal authority to extend the TikTok ban bill once.

It’s pretty simple. This admin is executing a retreat from the Pacific. It senses the CCP will want to ensure that isn’t reversed. There’s a shared understanding that the CCP will leverage TikTok to help it keep power. It doesn’t want this foreign support interrupted.
It’s absolutely insane to me companies like oracle, Apple, Google are still serving the app and hosting it in their App Store. The next admin can enforce the penalty and extract 100’s of billions in fines from each of them. Or Trump can do it whenever he wants if he wants

Beijing has never agreed to sell the algorithm, and the buyers from the US have never requested China to sell the algorithms, and the law has never said tiktok algorithms must be controlled by the US.

I would think it doesn't matter if the base algorithm was developed in China, what matters is who controls it. It likely has many parameters that can be tweaked for desired outcomes. Who is controlling those parameters?

I am not certain that SCOTUS would uphold the law that Congress passed only a few months ago. If the recent past is any indication this SCOTUS majority has no reluctance to just making things up.
Between all the kompromat & the bribery, Americans need to understand that the White House cares zero about the interests of the US or its citizens.

Why not discuss the fact that Trump is failing to faithfully execute the law by illegally bypassing the law (passed by Congress & signed by the President) that bans TikTok from operating in the United States in its current form?
