If the "liberation day" tariff numbers had continued on schedule, this all would have come to pass. But Trump has improved his policy agenda, sometimes unwillingly, and people aren't going to have as many economic complaints as they would've under the April 3rd environment.

Trump approval rating has totally recovered from the Liberation Day swoon. One Schumer premise was that the Dems would keep resisting and the attention on Trump's policies would drive his numbers down. But that hasn't happened. realclearpolling.com/polls/approval

Exactly. For all intents and purposes ‘the resistance efforts’ won. Whether the dems did much to help that, vs the markets…meh. But still, you can’t blame Chuck for Trump unfucking things and thus not being quite as unpopular. (Does Chuck now need a new strategy? Probably)
...voter approval in the high forties...this is absolutely disgusting. I don't know what planet these people are living on, or how we can share a functional civilization.
Interesting take! ’s insights on policy shifts like this have been spot-on—helped me see the bigger picture without getting lost in the noise. The April 3rd scenario would’ve been rough, but adjustments matter.
