yesterday, someone who follows me told her husband about my tweet. he came into my replies and asked me to fight him. i told him to meet me outside uniqlo. he said he would drive 2.5 hrs, upsetting his wife. his account then got suspended. so i want to apologize to this follower.

people wanted to murder me because i accidentally killed a jade plant i didn't want and didn't know how to take care of. i thought i under watered it so i then overwatered it repeat until dead plant.
ru still coming to uniqlo? suspension doesnt mean hes not still coming imo
It was most improper and badly planned anyway. You have not agreed on weapons - rapiers, pistols, samurai swords, pillows etc.? Did you have seconds? The outcome was not clear either. If he wins, does he get a bespoke suit from Savile row? If you win, do you get a wife?? We need
It all started about 20 years ago. I used to see this older gentleman at a coffee shop, always meeting with young men, and it left an impression on me. I eventually struck up a conversation with him, and he told me that God had called him to help younger guys avoid the mistakes

u can fight together with those new collection lame summer shirts from uniqlo it could be a cool scene to watch 🙂↔️
We often run into people who have no idea how social media works. I hope his second day on the internet goes better than his first.
Now you have to do a thread about the best dressed street fights and how fashion can meet function.
Just want to live in a walkable city where I don't need to drive 2.5 hours for a fight
Is a street fight outside Uniqlo even legal? it’d be ok if it was in a boxing ring, but outside Uniqlo people are gonna call the cops. (Meanwhile, we’re all laughing about this fight that very clearly was not going to happen)
If you both had to fight in suits, what would the most important factors be, and how would the tailoring differ from day to day wear?
Uniqlo was trending earlier tonight and I clicked thinking it was something to do with the tariffs. And then I saw it was about a fight with and I nearly spit my dinner out 😆
Damn, the fight would have been a perfect place to showcase the versatility of the drape cut for movement while fully dressed. Steed could have advertised with it. Oh well, interested parties can watch the hand to hand fighting in From Russia With Love for examples of same.
I don't think you need to apologize. He tried to act like a big shot after you rightly called him out, and it backfired. That's not your concern.

"I fought a men's fashion commentator": win or lose, that's not really a story you could tell at the bar without everyone laughing. Just no upside atall.
Yeah, ok, actions, consequence, but the people demand to know: Should we drive to the uniqlo, or can we stay in bed
thanks derek.. now what am i supposed to do with all these "Uniqlo Throwdown" t-shirts that were supposed to make up for my 401k losses.. :-(
Only one elegant way to solve this. Though they made everyone wear Adidas at the Olympics, other more bespoke options are available. With thanks to Richard, and the Guardian for the 'photo.
Richard Kruze lands one on Timor Safin during his epic fightback from 5/12 in the bronze medal playoff in Rio.
Seems like a good opportunity to do a thread on martial arts attire. That’d be super interesting and something I haven’t seen before. But it’s just a street fight … so I guess streetwear will suffice
I will second you Derek in any type of duel proposed by these brutes! As an nobleman I’m fully skilled in pugilism, swordfighting, fencing, archery, shooting and even the infamous ”Finnish disco-beat”.
i hate that i was waiting for an update on this, but love that i got one. thank you for your service, derek guy.
To be fair, isn't 99% of available clothing made in something that qualifies as a sweat shop? Not that it's not awful, but the guy making a shirt for his company isn't really the one to go after.
Who drives 2.5 hours to fight over a Gildan tweet? But American Apparel? They were a good brand with a mission and I’d drive 4 hours to tell you you’re wrong after drinking too much coffee.
Wow! I had no idea you were so controversial that fist fights would erupt. I can't stop laughing and you, my sir, are a prince.
