It continues to astonish me that at a time where so much research has been digitized and made easily available to any interested party with a wifi connection, so many people would rather just be wrong about stuff.

the thing that frustrates me most about the whole fake "yimby vs nature" debate is that the number 1 opponent of unspoiled wilderness is suburban sprawl. if you let people build apartments in cities, you won't end up bulldozing nature to build culdesacs

it’s genuinely absurd that getting rid of tariffs is a magical button to lower prices and increase growth but some democrats are hesitant to push it
