I get being mildly annoyed at this, but why would it be any policy concern of ours? Do we complain about the Mexicans speaking Spanish? The Quebecois aren't some immigrant group 'invading' Canada, they've been there longer than the English speakers. x.com/JewishWarrior1…

Thank you. Check out "October Crisis" in Wikipedia to find out how bad it got. Bilingualism was a big part of how we pulled ourselves back from the abyss and survived as a nation. Strange as that might seem. It's worth fighting to preserve.

“Trivial economic gains” could define the entire clusterfuck Trump decided (on a whim) to create. It’ll take generations to earn back this trusted ally that would’ve been there for us to the bitter end. For what? So we can sell them our milk?

Why not just make the Quebecois learn English? Or divide up Canada into two countries? There no reason for us to participate in the fiction of Canuck bilingualism.

I grew up in Western Canada. I went through two Quebec referenda. The Québécois are incredibly annoying. And I fully support walking away from the deal if the Americans were trying to undermine the French language
