This used to be known as cultural exchange, and has taken place throughout history. Then the leftists co-opted it and turned a positive into a negative
Why Iโve always preferred โcultural appreciationโ. Most people actually are trying to honor other cultures. And I appreciate the Japanese for doing so
Cultural exchange is such a meaningful way that people naturally try to connect with others

We've been doing it since culture was a thing. And the cultures that survive and thrive are the ones that are fun for everybody.
If you steal someone's culture for economic gain then you might have a case for cultural appropriation.
Otherwise I think it's amazing that people are interested in other culture's that they wish to imitate them. Can't help but bring us closer together I think.
