I like and have written for The Free Press, but earlier this week it published a supposedly investigative piece that, in my opinion, served to amplify and legitimize the Great Replacement theory. It was careless journalism on an incendiary topic.

2/ The piece gives significantly more space to figures like Nate Hochman, fired from the DeSantis campaign over Nazi symbolism (this goes unmentioned), and to a far-right website that promoted QAnon, than it does to skeptical investigation of Great Replacement claims.
The Democrats' grand strategy is to benefit from and exacerbate the increasing diversity by assembling a Coalition of the Margins of American society. But Muslims and trans, black church ladies and secular Jews, etc. can only be united around hating the straight white man.
As a truly independent media organization dedicated to traditional journalism The Epoch Times brings hope to our readers.
You can count on us to build on the legacy of our reporting and expand it even further!
The thing that bothers me about The Free Press, is the sneering, holier-than-thou, "we're not like the MAINSTREAM media" attitude that emanates from its writers. As if its own writers/contributors are not inherently biased, like all human beings?
The great replacement theory is about white nationalists worrying about โtainted blood linesโ or some such nonsense. Itโs different than the political theory that dems are trying to flood the country with likely future dems, and then worry about legalizing them later.
It looks like the purpose of the article is not to debunk the idea, but to explain why people think it is true. Is it bad to do that?
Yes, it was a deceptive piece, and typical of the times. Here in the UK this kind of "reporting" is gaining ground. It feeds hate. We have had refugee hostels attacked as a result. Thank you for your counter-measures.
The New York Times publishes this stuff too.

this is a silly paper that writes silly sht. There was quite a bit written on there questioning covid vaxxes
The media org whose staff could sweep the podium in the biggest grifter award and water carrying Olympics published a piece thatโฆ(checks notes)โฆcarried water for insane GOP conspiracy theories to appear โCentristโ to its audience. What a shocker. Centrists are just Republicans.
A lot of you journo types have been far too easy on Bari Weiss. Glad you wrote this.
Iโm not sure how you can see recent immigration levels, both legal and illegal, and a complete collapse in enforcement and come to any conclusion other than itโs an attempt to permanently change the demographics of the country. Especially when itโs extremely unpopular.
democrats have been openly bragging about how they will use immigrants to turn texas purple for decades now.
There was a point where you couldn't turn CNN on in 2016 and wait longer than 20 seconds before someone would giddily talk about the "browning of america"
Unfortunately for you, there are a ton of people still alive who remember the 80's and what the population looked like then as compared to now. We're being replaced. Trust me, youngster.
did they quote the sitting president?

Joe Biden describing replacement theory back in 2015: "....unrelenting stream of immigration that will make Caucasians like me the minority. And that's a good thing..."
And if that doesn't blow your mind, his current DHS secretary was sitting next to him.
