Trump now denouncing the Federalist Society and saying he doesn’t want their judges anymore. This was pretty much the last tie to conservatism as an ideology. We’re getting judges from now on who act like his sycophants in the administration. Conservatives wanted Trump “because he fights.” He fought for himself and buried their movement.

95% of Republicans in Congress are silent about the judicial coup. Tells you everything you need to know.
Slight disagreement. His voters aren’t conservative either. That’s why they chose a felon who is politically left of the Clintons over actual conservative options during the primary. The modern GOP is basically a National Socialist party.
Trump & Co. started souring on the Federalist Society back in 2023 when Russell Vought told the New York Times: “The Federalist Society doesn’t know what time it is.” (Translation: “The Federalist Society isn’t authoritarian enough.”)
He also said anyone involved in project 2025 would be black listed from serving in his 2nd Administration. Put another way, it’s all one lie after another.
Did he write this? The rhetoric is different from other posts we've seen. It's full of falsehoods, but the grammar is correct, there's some relationship between ideas, and complex sentences are used. Transitions are used between sentences. Vocabulary is more robust than usual --
The concept that politicians get make rules, for which they create "independent" courts to enforce them, so that rules, conveniently, become irreversible and removed from the realm of politics and democracy, where they came from, this idea, known under many fancy names, has been
You guys said he could not learn. This is a good thing too much federal power is a bad thing. The unelected bureaucracy is out of control and Judges are putting their interests ahead of the people and the constitution that protects us.
The "fights" thing is the greatest sales con in history. Did he delivery anything to MAGA in either term? They got tiny tax cuts while his billionaire friends got huge cuts and what else? No interest rates, no new jobs, no manufacturing...he said 80 things and did 0.
Cuckservatism was always an ideology of self-defeat. Bring on MAGA and let's purge the conservatives out.
Many of my conservative friends held their noses and voted for Trump for this reason alone. Now what for them? Fealty is the sole measure for him and this is a very dangerous pathway. Senate R's your time for patriotism has fully arrived, but most are cowards I fear.
One of his few redeeming features now repudiated. Will the Senate give him his lackeys or will they stand up and demand high quality conservative jurists?
USA is just going full russia, isn't it? Where the oligarchs are in charge, the courts do whatever the "president" tells them to do, demands are made to annex other nations and territories, and it's all done to the drumbeat cover of recovering former glory?
What i will never understand is, in 2016 probably ANY Republican would have nominated the same type of judges, had the same sorts of policies, so on and so forth, as trump. people are like “well, we had to get trump to ram through our agenda”. No you don’t, anyone else could do

The American Bar Association has lost its way, and we do not believe it serves as a fair arbiter of judicial nominees. @TheJusticeDept will no longer give the ABA the access they’ve taken for granted.

Thanks for the summary because I took one look at that lengthy post and decided I didn't want to do my head in.
Wow. He is burning bridges left and right. Doesn’t matter if you are a Democrat or Republican. Is this the beginning of the end of MAGA? The start of the big Republican split where some say “I’ve seen enough” and want him out?
During his first campaign before the federalist society and McConnell took over on judges, Trump said he would nominate judges like his sister, a NY liberal.
Not sure he wrote this. Generally speaking it’s grammatically correct and actually makes some sense.
He really wants to be a tin pot King and be damned with the Constitution.
I don’t care for Leo either but laughing at this…Leo is pretty sneaky and powerful..he might get the last laugh
Slight of hands here. Again, you guys are missing the trick here. This whole 'fight ' is an excuse to crush any sort of judicial resistance (upholding the constitution). He's going to go after all the judges who won't bend the knee (both right and left judges)
As least his other appointees will go when he does. He appoints maniacs in their 40's and 50's to SCOTUS, we are stuck with them a long time.
This is a weird Trump post for other reasons too. It's long form schizofrenia but with pretty normal long sentences, he doesn't deviate as he normally does. Two em-dashes; Great punctuation. Caps on pretty normal places. Did they make an AI prompt to sound like Trump?
This may just be the red line Senate needs to finally push back on Trump. ARE ALL FUNDED BY THE LIKES OF LEONARD LEO AND KOCH and Federalist Society is their 'BIBLE'!!!!!!!!!
MAGAs main ideological foundation is “What does Trump’s want now”. That trumps everything including “what did Trump told us he needed yesterday?”
Anyone else Nazi this coming? Fucking rubes are nothing to him now. How's it feel getting dry ass fucked by the greatest grifter of all time?
This is what every dictator does. Hitler dit it to extremes. This way you prevent all criticism and protest and label them as terrorists.
