I like Cathy a lot but this paragraph is odd. She seems to start from the premise that Jan 6th disqualifies Trump (which I wish was true, but he breezed thru a primary & was the R. nominee) so Bari shouldn't entertain any debate? I doubt Sam didn't mention Jan 6 in the debate.
While her politics are very different from mine I think Cathy Young is a genuinely principled center-Right author.
I think this is particularly damaging to Weiss to the extent that if there’s an issue Young is relatively inflexible on it’s Israel.

I’ll play along for a minute and ignore the Israel angle. It’s absurd to frame this as caving to pressure to “be more balanced”. It’s not about pressure it is simply a reflection of the shallow worldview of most wealthy elites.
