China was never going to support a forced sale of IP, and the new investors likely WANT continued access to the recommendation algorithm, because its world class, so I'm not sure what other deal you'd strike. You can still overlay a censorship layer on top of it.

This is a little tricky to parse, but I think by the "Chinese algorithm" they're referring to non-toxic version China permits for domestic use, rather than the engagement-maximizing version used in the US. Also, this just says the new owner will have a license to use the
