My timeline is filled with Democrats eagerly telling the Teamster's union to fuck off Seems like a shift underway

This is healthy. The Dems need to win back men and the way you do is by showing a strong aggressive side.
The stupid thing is that Biden was the most pro union President in years. He damaged his presidency multiple times pandering to them.
I get why they are annoyed but it is kind of evidence that there isn't really an ideological basis for union support, it's all just grubby vote buying.
The absolutism on labor is so infuriating. Some unions are good and fight successfully for the rights of their members and collective bargaining is an important tool for workers: some unions fucking suck. Look at their conduct and assess if they are allies
Important distinction between pink collar (teacher, nursing) unions and blue collar unions, imo The former are mainly educated women The latter hate Democrats and everything we stand for
We’re a few years in to a genuine realignment, and I really need fellow liberals to understand that being the opposition to a nascent populist right is a loosing proposition, as it pulls us further from the common denominator
Not a good look. We should do what’s best for working people and what Biden did was what every Dem should do. Until we are willing to kick out Corporate Dems, there is no world where the Dems should shit on working people.
I have a pet theory that the remaining blue collar union workers are pretty much natural conservatives at this point: they're socially conservative, anti-welfare, and basically all aspire to be independent small business owners.
Meh. The Teamsters have been cozying up to the GOP forever. Or at least since 1972, when they endorsed Nixon for president.
Democrats have too often thought of Unions as an platonic ideal, rather than as specific institutions whose incentives and interests may or may not align with the good of society as a whole. If this is the wake up call, it's sorely needed and long overdue.
Shift back to unions having no power and the wealth gap ever increasing. Bunch of lemmings walking to the sea 🌊 😐
I will join that choir. Too much political capital and literal capital spent on voters who vote against democrats for a multitude of non-policy reasons.
And the other unions who didn’t support Biden are on notice. If you don’t vote for the Democrats your bidding doesn’t get done. Go ask your friendly Republicans for help. But don’t hold your breath
