Imagine looking at this photo and thinking Brooklyn is "full".

Do you think it should be illegal to build more than 3 stories tall within walking distance of a subway station in Brooklyn?
Imagine having the same number of subway trains with significantly more population and significantly fewer places to park cars. It is unrealistic to add much more capacity or new lines to the subway in the parts of Brooklyn close to Manhattan.
I don't know, but way more people want to live in Brooklyn and strict density limits within walking distance of subway stations are stupid
I struggle to imagine viewing this and thinking that disrupting millions of lives and the remaining ecosystem is a net good. Just widen your Tinder radius, man.
Not allowing more people living here is incredibly disruptive to people's lives and horrible for the environment compared to the alternative.

If all of NYC had the same density as the Upper East Side, it would have a larger population than Tokyo. Would be pretty cool, I think
For the currently existing critical infrastructure … it’s over full. It’s why we constantly have brownouts, water main breaks and sewerage / drainage problems
Almost no green at all. A dead zone for children and small things.

yea though after flying from Columbus, Ohio I thought wow is Brooklyn densely developed
Brooklyn is the second most densely-populated county in the United States. Maybe it isn’t “full” compared to Manhattan but it is compared to literally everywhere else!

One of the problems with urbanists is reinvisioning everywhere as skyscraper megacities. 6-8 story apartments would do the job just as well, and look nicer on the street level.
I have no idea where brooklyn is or what you mean but all of the land here seem beyond full from this distance
Imagine seeing a completely man-made mass of concrete and thinking “yeah, could use some more people”
The big patch to the right is the largest public park in Brooklyn, the patch to the left a cemetery.
not sure anyone serious is saying it is full and not sure just cramming in a bunch of tall buildings is the answer - diverse house in a city is good. Not everyone likes what you like.
Imagine looking at this photo and saying anything other than "all of the new housing for NYC needs to be built in NJ in tandem with generational public transit upgrades"... Dan why don't you move to ENY or Canarsie where there's some more space? Oh wait you're a racist YIMBY
Yes all of Brooklyn should resemble Kowloon walled city. We should import a few million more people to pile on top of each other because there is no where else in the world to exist

If most Americans were even remotely financially literate, there would be no domestic car industry.
