One of the many issues with the inequality theories of the housing crisis is that it's not even clear what you do with them: if it were possible to suppress demand in red-hot agglomeration economies, the sheer insanity of San Francisco/California culture/governance would have done so, and yet.

It's possible via national-level taxation policy, but probably not via the CA state legislature and definitely not via the SF Board of Supes
