obviously, I’ve heard of Nate Silver, but can somebody tell me why his models are so respected?
He had the best predictions in all of 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024 pretty much of any major modeler

I think his model must weigh candidate quality pretty heavily….
Because just based on vibes and polling, you’d think Peltola has a much stronger chance than Talarico.
But maybe Sullivan being an incumbent and Paxton being horrible impacts his model.

Pretty remarkable that Maine (generic ballot D+10), Michigan (generic ballot D+10), and Texas (generic ballot D+0) are all “lean D”. Must be that Texas has managed to shake the corrupt corporate establishment!
