Not really surprising. X makes it very easy to BOT. They have an API you can use to do it, and they monetize it. It's very easy for someone to set up a bot to just search for posts to leave one liners in, or to retweet things. To auto follow or follow back, etc.
It’s that high or higher on all major social media platforms.

Yes. It’s likely 1,000:1 ratio of bots to humans on this platform (perhaps even 10,000:1), and far, far greater elsewhere. The internet is “dead,” and what that means is there are far more non-living entities participating here than living. Since we are entering the Agentic

What til people find out how many of their followers aren’t real😂 Always makes me giggle when people brag about their following count on this platform specifically.
why are there so many bots on this platform? 76% seems extremely high. What causes this, why is it allowed, and how do I know how many of my engagements and impressions are real?
Elon The Magnificent has made Twitter a safe place for Artificial Stupidity to grow and thrive. The world will long remember, and never forgive or forget.
💯 It’s become such a fucking joke. Legit average of responses to my comments or posts is anywhere from 8-9 bots out of every 10 human replies. It’s beyond out of control. And the hilarious thing? EVERYONE on here knows who the bots are. Not even a question anymore. I hope Ruzzia
I 100p believe this stat So much of the algo is now bot junk I truly do want this app to succeed and have vested financial interest in that Just so ironic with EMs whole bot MO when he bought the co and then to watch it spiral downhill in the way it has is a shame
Well, at least I know that I’m not a bot! When I’m on X, I put out verifiable information (I don’t write anything I can’t back up), and willingly go toe to toe with any MAGAs who don’t like facts. It’s the only reason I’m on X.
I'm pretty sure that number correlates to the amount of MAGA vomit I see on my timeline. Either that or it's Elon forcing his opinion into my stream.
I don't know it to be true, but it feels true. It's almost as if social media is dead and being held together by clankers led by governments and corporations.
Bots get advertisers to spend due to engagement numbers But they don't get any spend on advertiser products This seems a lot like...what's the word I'm thinking of...oh yeah, fraud
Dude locked it down. No way Facebook and TikTok are at 2%. That’s absurd. This is the most biased study I have ever seen. TikTok is estimated to be up to 97% bots
I’m a real boy who loathes pretty much everything you espouse but damn I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that you played an incredible gollum in the lord of the rings

This may have accelerated a little, but it’s felt like a higher than half percentage since I joined in 2017. Yet, it still shapes the discourse that politics and journalism runs on (artificially). I think it’s a pretty massive scandal, and some of our electeds likely knew.
It’s so clear

When the data about who’s a bot on twitter drops, we will all realize how much time we’ve collectively wasted on literal digital monkeys typing online
Well I’m just here for friends and other guitar players… Hard to be a bot guitar player…

Wasn’t sure if I should share this one but screw it right? It’s just sharing a proof of concept 🤓🤷‍♂️ Only took another hour or so of testing and now it can: 1) Login 2) Open a specific tweet 3) Reply to it 4) QT it 5) RT it 6) Like it Bad actors just scale this to the 1000s…. x.com/LvivNightingal…

Yes 3 out of 4 times, ur responses come from bots and the other 25% is stuff that is sent to u to elicit a reaction
Been like that for a long time now. I’d say around Trumps 1st election is win it really picked up.
I believe. Right or left, it's why I try to have real conversations with folks I interact with here. I recommend it. You wind up talking about simple stuff again, like fishing or music.
Bonkers, but believable. Not that Musk cares about the money, but why are there any advertisers on the site at all at this point?
