Yesterday, Rubio terminated 5800 USAID contracts – more than 90% of its foreign aid programs – in defiance of the courts. Here’s a list of just some of the lifesaving awards that were terminated. Nearly all were Congressional mandated. They've saved millions of lives. 🧵

Why is USAID needed to protect against Malaria. Why haven't these countries stepped up their own prevention???
Bro what prevents these countries from developing their own countermeasures against a disease endemic to their society for millennia? Why do we have to pay for this?
The rest of the world should be able to protect their own people from these diseases. It is not up to the United States to do so.
These Foreign Aid programs increase poverty in United States with zero benefits to US Citizen Taxpayers. The NGO laundromat is closed!
While I don't disagree that those 53 million people need help. Why should the US spend the money to protect those 53 million people when there are millions domestically that could use the help? I don't understand why keeping our country first is controversial.
Hello there. I’ve been to Africa many times - Africans use those nets to fish not to protect children. As you know less than 10% of USAID’s funds help people in need. Stop with the emotional blackmail.
Why does the USA have to fund Malaria? Why can’t those countries which are much older than ours fund themselves? It’s almost as if THE USA is just enabling every country to do poorly and not take care of their own people. We are not enabling this crap anymore. Countries need to

1/2 did the right thing. These programs should never have been funded. Foreign countries are responsible for their own people, just like the U.S. is for its own. They collect taxes from their citizens and businesses—there’s no reason U.S. money should be sent abroad.
Why still buying mosquito nets from poorly structured and worse value for money supply chains after all these years? Look deeper at the manner elements of work have generated jobs in lower income places making nets, the transfer of skills and the use of capital to do development
Why are my tax dollars going to this I want to help the people with diseases here not abroad. Their country can help their own people if it’s that big of a problem.
The problem is w the process of the money trail. Sending aid, dollars, downstream, the people getting it don’t have to distribute the bulk of it. They can buy 12 truckloads of flour and then pocket the majority of the funding left. There is no accountability.
All in Christ Jesus use all their blood, spirits, souls, lives, love and decree no form of blood, plasma diseases manifest, be in Elise Oyinkromeineifa, all the babies Yahweh put in her even 0.1%, past, present, future invoking the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth for all ages

So the US supplies all the malaria drugs to the world? We fund that? What about their governments?
Malaria treatment, would that be the pharmaceuticals of America testing drugs on third world country peoples for safety, not caring how many dies??
