If Germany had stuck with nuclear power it would have saved €350 billion and cut emissions by 73% more since 2022. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10

If Merkel had not listened to the Greens, she would have lost the election anyway, and they would have done it anyway. It was the Germans who asked for that.
Now what? Turn back time? I can't defend it if that story is even remotely true but using this as an argument for nuclear power in this time is ridiculous. Solar and wind are much cheaper now and re-entering nuclear will simply cost us a decade and billions of euros
i rode by the elsdorf open coal mine a few weeks ago. it’s like inverted pyramids: a monument to terrible leaders that will last for an eternity

Tbh when ranking worst German leaders of all time, hitler shouldn’t count. He is an outlier and should not be included.
One of Vladimir's greatest glories is to have turned into Russian assets, early in their careers, the last 2 German chancellors...
We don’t need all this thing they cal development It’s polluting the planet Nuclear power is also quite dangerous in times of major seismic events or in case of a major asteroid strike
Who was the worst German leader then? I know many might claim Hitler, but he was clearly a very good leader no matter what you think of some more unsavory actions of his.
