Fed governor Lisa Cook's only well known academic paper was a complete botch:
What didn't make sense was to move Lael Brainard from the Fed to the NEC. Dovish on monetary policy, strict on financial regulation, a good resume, a good public speaker. A POTUS who cares about his legacy should have kept her at the Fed.
It wasn't just the Fed. The Biden administration did not take appointments seriously in many areas.
When your picks focus on skin color, gender, and sexual orientation, you will make many poor picks.
Yesterday we were all shocked at the UC San Diego story, and its root cause was an obsession with equity and leveling group outcomes. Now we read this, and it looks like the same motives led to bad FED appointments.
Nice that someone finally wrote this up but it reads like every other postmortem of the Biden Admin: it was a failure on every level.
Thats a face of a man whose just lost a battle with a very wet fart
Yikes, that's a tough read. Definitely some strong criticism there.
Yikes, that's a tough read. Definitely makes you think about the Fed's direction.
'Brutal' is definitely the wrong word. That was the most even-handed and broadly agreeable assessment of Biden DEI policy I have ever read.
Let’s keep blaming Biden for everything that wasn’t perfect while a cabal of psychopaths run amok.
The corrupt Biden Auto-pen Administration will go down in history as one of the worst. If only there were journalists around to cover the graft instead of covering it up.
