We absolutely need to know if this was an American strike. It's looking increasingly like it was, and if so it will be one of the worst individual incidents of civilian deaths in a generation or more.

What would follow from that? The US bombed an air base and accidentally hit a school a few meters away. A terrible tragedy, for which we would express regret. Beyond that?
And yet you didn’t have a word to say when the Iranian terrorist government murdered 36,000 of their own people. You’re only offended when Americans do it accidentally, not when the mullahs do it intentionally. You are a pathetic, weak, gross corrupt little man.
The media could not be played.
Except “US forces in the area” suggests the opposite. The USA would not fire at them. Iran would.
I do not care. They are casualties in war, there are accidents. The fog of war is real. Don’t speak if you haven’t been an infantryman, a fighter pilot, an intelligence analyst, or a clandestine agent. Stop parroting enemy propaganda.

Iranian officials say is not something that gets me into a tizzy. Yes, during military action, we should expect our adversary to claim bad things. They want our opposition to pearl clutch. Give definitive proof and I'll join your protesting. Otherwise, nah.
I remember the whole “greeted as liberators” thing. I remember being over there at the time and telling some of the younger guys… you have to understand we’ve been bombing these 18-25 males their whole lives off and on…. What would you do?
This is a good thread on it using publicly available data and geolocation expertise. The precise nature of the impacts means it’s US or Israeli munitions rather than a failed rocket launch,

GeoConfirmed Iran. "The Girl School Bombing" "Occam’s Razor" is right. Again. Satellite imagery, provided by @planet, now confirms that the school was hit during the bombing of the base. It is also clearly visible that all other buildings, just as the the school, were struck

You don’t honestly believe any of these death total reports coming out of Iran? I admit one child is too much. But this building also seemed attached to a military facility.
A tragedy regardless. But please stop siding with radical Muslims who put military infrastructure next to schools again and again over this country that’s given you everything. Act like sober adults for once under this admin!
If we killed 150 schoolgirls, everyone involved should testify before congress. Not sure whose fault it was, but we absolutely need to know.
Hey, cut the military some slack, will ya! At least it's nowhere near 1/2 a million! Jeez!

At worst for the USA, the alleged school was on a military base which was a legitimate target under the Geneva Convention. I blame the Mullahs to whatever extent the story is true as related by Iranian state media.
I certainly hope we did not accidentally hit a school, but if we did, it would still be less horrific than any individual night of civilian slaughter by the Iranian government last month.
The "unconscionable" framing by David French is a classic example of the "armchair activism" that prioritizes emotional narratives over the cold, hard reality of the IRGC’s "Human Shield" doctrine. While the incident at the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab is a tragedy, the
If true, this would be a tragedy. But the NYT has had to issue corrections on this kind of thing during the Gaza war. Most importantly, you failed to mention the US doesn’t target schools or children.
Bro in '91 we could choose which window of the building we wanted the missile to go through. Isn't it more likely it was an Iranian misfire from the adjacent complex?
I think the best the president could do is make a big deal out of accepting responsibility for it, and vowing to do what he can for the families, but I hope it doesn’t cause them to lose momentum, I want freedom for Iran
