Lots of scorn rightfully been heaped on Los Angeles this week for opposing SB 79, but a lot of heavy hitters are also coming out in strongnsupport. Today, the California Democratic Party overwhelmingly came out in support.

BIG news: The California Democratic Party just endorsed @Scott_Wiener’s landmark housing bill #SB79, which legalizes multifamily homes near major public transit statewide! This marks a major shift in state politics: California Dems are *finally* embracing a party that builds!

The California Democratic Party just voted to support our legislation to allow more housing near train & subway stations & rapid bus stops. SB 79 means more housing, stronger transit, less traffic congestion & lower carbon emissions. Thank you Democrats!
We should build a half-dozen of these, evenly spaced, along California's central coast.

State and City of LA housing construction has been totally anemic, and it’s a significant driver of out of control housing costs which are boxing people out of owning a home. With SB 79, the State is right to encourage more housing, but it must be done with the full engagement
Omni cause strikes again: public transit advocacy group in Pittsburgh PA (an extremely affordable city with plenty of sub $200k homes) wants the city to implement inclusionary zoning, which has been proven to reduce housing construction. Why is a transit group focusing on this?

Public transit is about to get demolished in Pennsylvania, but our transit advocacy groups in Pittsburgh are currently wasting their time on expanding their failed Inclusionary Zoning policy citywide.
