This is actually a really good project because it shows how important state YIMBY bills are. Even though this site is owned by the City and County of San Francisco, they had to invoke SB-35 and AB-1763 in order to streamline and bypass their own planning regime. Makes you think.

730 Stanyan is 100% affordable and looking great! Thank you for the 160 new homes, Dean Preston!

The subsidized housing at 730 Stanyan was only feasible because the City of SF used SB 35, a law Preston opposed. Preston furthermore attempted to delay the approval of two additional floors of housing by demanding more community meetings be held before moving forward. nimby.report/preston sfmohcd.org/sites/default/… sfexaminer.com/our_sections/f…

YIMBY sucks. Had a 180 unit low income apartment complex open 8 blocks from my house. Now the area is a crime ridden s-hole, business have closed and we avoid the area. Projects have always failed, this is easy to predict.
These battleground Democrats are ESSENTIAL to maintaining our razor thin Senate majority, but Republicans have already started their attacks in these make-or-break states. We need to give them the resources to fight back. Will you chip in $24 today to help keep these seats blue?
