You know what the next step is, right? Lowering requirements to stay enrolled and graduate from the UCs. The goal has always been to award degrees from prestigious institutions to blacks/hispanics/muslims in the name of equity.
Enjoy having Nobel and Turing Laureates try to educate undergraduates who do not know middle school math. I mean, this is what equity is all about, right?
ESSENTIAL BACKGROUNDER ON THE PROBLEM:
NOW
How California’s math establishment built a generation of students who don’t know what they don’t know.
This is shouldn’t be legal. They are intentionally perverting admissions to cheat rightful students out of deserved acceptances so they can admit lesser qualified brown and black people. Lawsuits need to happen.
They give weight to factors out of control of the students with nothing to do with merit. First gen college, second language, etc. all designed to rig admissions.
UC STEM profs: hey last few years freshman barely can do remedial math and English
UC regents: what we need is even more unprepared freshman to flunk out
Before I became the youngest Republican in Congress, I spent summers building churches & running cattle
Here’s my story:
Do they really think we don’t know what they’re really doing here? WE had to take standardized tests to get into college, after all…truly feckless, perversion of the meritocracy that made the UC’s so venerable.
