This has been ongoing for years. The Global Coalition against ISIS and members of NATO have ignored their responsibility to repatriate, rehab and reintegrate the prisoners. Blinken already stated it. These people have been abandoned by their countries. Do we stay forever?

Priorities! More Americans are killed each week in our major cities than all year in Syria. Why isn't that a national security issue - where is the "national security" in Oakland, Chicago, Detroit, DC, Baltimore, when people can't walk downtown w/out fearing robbery or worse?

If it’s reasonable for the US to pay these costs, then the rest of the world should contribute, too. What do the wealthy Middle Eastern countries contribute? How about European countries?
I don't think it will be much of a problem now with HTS in power in Damascus. They will fight ISIS like fighting for dear life, as we see the Taliban doing the same in Afghanistan. Plus they will have help from Turkiye as well.
