Let’s be clear, there were definitely groups that had concerns about AB 2323. Any legislator interested in taking it on should sit down with them early & build consensus. There’s lots of options: a five year sunset, limit to LA, exempt largest projects, labor standards, etc.
Strongly agree. This is a common sense housing policy that should be supported by all.

Agree. And from what I've seen from Berkeley*, we need to completely strip the lead agency of any involvement in granting exemptions. Zoning compliant housing in fire safe areas must be fully immune from CEQA. No exemption decision by lead agency. *see x.com/about_dave/sta)
