After flipping several holdouts, the House has approved a GOP budget outline, taking the first step on President Trump's agenda. This plan would allow up to $4.5 trillion in tax cuts, and increases deficits by more than $19 trillion over 10 years.

How can $4.5T in reduced revenue result in $19T in INCREASED deficits, especially considering (smaller) spending cuts also included? Did you mean $19T in TOTAL deficit?
Because the budget baseline already includes about $16 trillion in deficits expected over the next 10 years. Add in the GOP plan $4.5 trillion in tax cuts (less revenue) offset partially by $1.5 trillion in budget cuts = an additional $3 trillion+ in deficits. $16t +$3t = $19t
Do you support President Trump's executive order creating DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency?

I just can't understand this at all please help me wrap my head around it. All I hear are phrases balanced budget cut the deficit blame the Democrats and they spend money in ways that make Democrats jealous
For all those people who said, but “the deficit!” I’ll repeat, “increases deficits by more than $19 trillion over 10 years.”
Keep fighting communism by cutting services and giving money to billionaires and corporations. The kids will pick up the tab! We ♥️ deficits
the only upside is that conservatives will never have the privilege of being taken seriously when whining about how bad things in the US are
So....I'm really not a fan of communism, but its really starting to feel like the political class is really asking for it at this point.....
This is why we ended up with so much inflation...running up the debt. He will insist on low interest rates as well. Short-term gains, long-term disaster
If you vote for a con man you should be prepared to get conned. Can you give us a breakdown of the % of cut on a per income tax bracket basis.... didn't think so. You've double screwed the average American.
