I thought seeding swing states with Hispanic men would be a win for liberals. I feel so lied to.

Did anyone ever think this wasn't going to be a thing? This is literally every single voting block historically except for one outlier.
Latinos were always on the Italian-American trajectory, not the African-American trajectory.
In the long term, this will be good because it will moderate the Republican party on racial and ethnic issues. But in the short term? Sheesh

Reagan and the Latinos story
Many of them have lived through Communism or Socialism.
When they've seen where price controls in grocery stores ends up, it's not surprising they'd vote against it.
What’s more maddening to hardline racists in the GOP, that Latinos are voting their opponents into office, or that Latinos are now part of their coalition?
Its been known for awhile that Hispanics trend right toward family values not left to identity politics.

A lot of them in my state, California, vote Republican because of the abortion issue.
I’m latinamerican and was in the US last week and was taken aback on how almost all my peers favored Trump. Even the ones I thought they were liberal. Some liked the idea of more effective deportations even if they themself got there by committing a felony (arranged marriage).
And becoming part of whiteness. Some of us warned the Democrats of this reality!

Democrats moved left of them socially and so this came down to inflation. They’ll be back to democrats next election though, because trying to deport millions, will sour them, and erecting tariffs will send prices soaring.
The 'all other voters' category being so close is a real shock too. That many Asians voted for Trump?

The majority of Hispanic children are born out of wedlock. So,long as that is true, the majority of Hispanic women are likely to vote Democratic.
They always were. Only in California was that trajectory interrupted, by Pete Wilson's overreach.
That's certainly the case in Texas. Tejanos are making a very explicit choice between the Black party and the White party. This is a situation that is, mostly, created by the Democrats. Tejanos don't think of themselves, nor want to think of themselves as BIPOC. They are Texan.

That's much better than having a racially balkanized electorate. Hopefully it leads both parties to actually start appealing to voters as individuals rather than as racial blocks.

Proud to be in the 44 percent that voted for Harris. This makes elon and joes conspiracy about immigrants bullshit! Most immigrants split they don’t all become dems like joe said. Nobody’s moving them to swing states so they become the majority it’s just more white fragility.
