Ukraine outfitted an ultralight with air launched interceptor drones. Reckon in the next few months, large drones will be launching smaller ones.

I found a leaked user manual of these a while back. Russian made design but the Ukrainians have their own versions

🧵(1/5) Excerpts from a Russian "Ёлка" or "Yolka" field manual that have been floating around recently. The "Yolka" is a cheap (allegedly ~$500) kinetic drone interceptor. Original text translated into English

Nobody saying its AI despite it clearly being AI, or am I becoming skeptical to the point of seeing suspicion things that are authentic?
The future of war will see clouds of drones intercepting clouds of drones. It will be terrifying, beautiful, and humbling. Imagine 1,000+ all simultaneously intercepting targeting by AI.
I had the air raid app installed for a while to track the frequency of air raids for just the Kyiv region alone, because front line is way too active, and it is nuts how many air raid alarms they have per day that deal with incoming drones and artillery
Adding high powered fans allow for more control and last second changes. This is amazing to see, but sad and stupid to know war is this advanced now. I know im privileged to live in the usa but damn dude, these are just what we’re shown, they got something crazier
Like every other innovation in military history, drones will change everything......for awhile. Like tanks, and machine guns, etc. And like every other time, counters are developed, and eventually it's just another arrow in the quiver.
Computing processors are so cheap they can make this even more affective by simply tracking a drone like objects in the sky even at longer ra ges with high ZOOM teaching cameras.
No one ever thinks that to take down a drone, you don't have to hit it with a bomb, you only have to hit it with a piece of string. Then you can fly the interceptor back for a reload instead of blowing it up. I guess the drone makers don't like that business model though.
I guess it just has to be faster than what it is after. Those drones probably don't have any real countermeasures(yet)
