So apparently the word in the tech world is this: Elon’s embrace of Trump is because Elon thinks he can essentially run the White House while Trump rots in front of Fox News. It’s a way to circumvent the “natural born citizen” requirement and let Musk serve as de facto president.

It also makes perfect sense. Look at Musk. Do you have any doubt he’d be running for president if he could? Puppeteering a decrepit, checked-out Trump is the next-best thing.

Not really, I just know folks not far removed from Musk who have been right about other random stuff (e.g., which specific Russians were secretly investing with which company). To be clear I’m not saying he’s controlling Trump, just that this is reputedly his belief.

Yes, but Vance is Peter Theil’s Pool Boy. So Vance runs a palace coup w/25th amendment early on, & then he & Theil take over America before Musk even gets to pull the puppet strings. (Which wouldn’t work, anyway. It’s obvious Trump is reviled by Musk. )
