a major reason I am a YIMBY is because I believe that the freedom to choose where and how you live is one of the most fundamental freedoms there is. being able to buy a gun or smoke weed doesn’t make me feel nearly as free as being able to walk to work does
The feds need to stop funding these expensive rail projects that exclusively serve single-family-zoned neighborhoods. They should make the funding contingent on zoning for at least 40 dwelling units/acre by-right with no required parking in the 1/2 mile around each station.
