As always if you’re going to bend over backwards to defend everything the admin does, it’s best to at least give them time to declare actually it was a mistake lest you find yourself defending a thing and then its opposite

ICE's behavior is unacceptable. There are better ways to address visa rule violations. Chaining skilled tech workers is unacceptable.
As someone who has had/currently has visas that dont perfectly match the activities performed locally due to the limits of government imagination... its clear there is an effectice international unspoken "no harm, no foul" approach.

you might consider this a type of reform. rather than treat these folks like slave labor, if you actually need them, give them proper legal standing and rights.
We have people here who set up manufacturing plants who are laid off-why not hire them?
