Russia finally admitting they're the ones cutting western undersea cables should be news, but there really isn't anything that Putin can do that will ever yield a true response. Russia and China would be stupid not to destroy western civilization with this level of weakness.

Part me thinks ruzzia had kompromat on most Western diplomats - or just pure greed. Either way, it does appear the Baltic is going to be blockaded. Hope they move fast on LNG from ruzzia too.

Maybe we shouldn't have blown up the Nordstream 2 pipeline, escalating a stupid border war that should've never happened. It is time for Ukraine to accept the reality of having a slightly smaller country and begin to move the world away from a larger conflict.

The West tolerates everything except open invasion. So, Russia and 🇨🇳's strategy is death by a thousand cuts, to erode the West bit by bit. And Western politicians are either cowardly or foolishly naive to act accordingly. They'd rather throw the hot 🇷🇺-🇨🇳 potato to someone else.

The thing is that Russia's external AND internal communications can be destroyed within a few minutes. Heck, the explosives are probably already in place.

In fact if Putin and Xi don't attack such weakness, that makes THEM appear weak and vulnerable to regime change Western governments surely realize it, they just don't have ANY spine left Only question is whether the DragonBear or the techno-oligarchs that will finish them first

All russian's born from 1947 to 1990 are still in the Soviet Union Cold War (includes Putin of course) West tolerates it (ankle biting russian dogs) Putin still fights the Cold War as part of everything is normal (russisn normal) Bullying Russian neighbors was normal not now👍

There is a real asymmetry in that Russia uses conventional + hybrid warfare - stuff like cutting cables, assassinations, propaganda, buying off politicians. Not only does the West barely support those fighting back against the conventional war... but it never touches hybrid stuff

Many in the West still think that russia can be reasoned and negotiated with, that surely someone in the 21st century won't repeat the mistakes of WW2, that surely we can just go back to business as usual and pay them money for the cheap oil and gas, and meddling will stop...
