Given the same prompt "A pair of hands skillfully slicing a ripe tomato on a wooden cutting board"

it’s almost like Google owns YouTube or something and OAI has to keep fixing youtube-dl with internal patches to keep up
OpenAI's assault on Google continues. The ChatGPT owner recently considered launching a browser and has struck search deals with various apps.
Lol this feels so much like my frustrated experience with Sora the hands thing is weird happens all the time.
And yet. I could make this for cheaper in my own home... There would be no weird slices that suddenly enlarged either.
If you handpicked videos this comparison is useless, you'd need to do 100 x prompts from each and compare the average and nobody is doing that yet.
this isn't a tomatoes to tomatoes comparison. sora is public, while veo is curated.
Again, Sora got owned by other models. They might have called it “Dora, in search of a good video model”.
Appended a bit of auto-complete to the tomato at the end, a small amount of knife slip, but hey. It's #HunyuanVideo in 8b quantization running on 1x RTX4090.
Used original prompt "A pair of hands skillfully slicing a ripe tomato on a wooden cutting board".
All this shi is happening too quick for me to keep up. For those who are informed about genAI, what is generally their Achilles' heel? On what kind of videos do they fall out of realism?
Very interesting. I tried producing a similar video with Sora for last week and ran into this physics issue. Will have to try Veo
I hate AI video stuff. Like what is the advantage vs just filming someone cutting a tomato?
Veo 2 is ahead from Sora, no comparison.
Just look at the detailing and quality in Veo.
Damn. Google is streets ahead.
I do think Grok will start to compete seriously with Google and ChatGPT in the next 6 months with text to video capability. Exciting times for creators.

Thirty years after 3D gaming kicked off and we still haven't figured out clipping.
Hate to admit it but I love the glitches
Like when cyberpunk first came out
That is super cool, but no one has access to Google's video generation, so I can't take it seriously.
Google YouTube has tons of training material of cooking videos that openAI does not have. This only demonstrates that Google has probably trained in that direction more than openAI.

It’s all physics for these models now how accurately they capture the minute details and transform it correctly
I feel like any video generator can be made to look good if the output is cherry picked.
What's missing is any information of Veo2's strike rate.
Was this the first generation or the 10th?

Google Veo likes to find that video on YouTube, It's so realistic and (no flaw?)
