The primary thing to know about Rogers as a potential DoD pick is that he's a staunchly pro-Ukraine hawk, and a fun secondary thing is he's also the guy who had to be held back from clocking Matt Gaetz during the speaker vote

Nobody who is insanely pro-Ukraine black hole for all our money should be in any position in the Trump administration.
I increasingly don't care that this person or that person was all-in on Ukraine, because Trump is done throwing good money after bad into that stupid conflict. I don't think being a Ukraine hawk is necessarily disqualifying anymore because it's about to be a non-issue. Are they

Iโ€™m gonna be real, trump picking the least bad picks for his cabinet was something I didnโ€™t expect, thought heโ€™d go all out with like fucking hulk hogan and Steve bannon
I wish I could be heartened by this, but I also remember how little it ultimately mattered and what happened with Mattis, McMaster, Kelly, Bolton and Haley, to name a few, in his first administration.
Iโ€™ll throw him a few points for that. Letโ€™s hope for the best since weโ€™re stuck with it ig
Honestly. That genuinely sounds like someone awesome to run the DoD. I'm sure there's more to know... But ... 1. Pro- Ukrainian 2. Tried to choke Matt Gaetz That's a solid resumรฉ
I hope Trump fills his Cabinet and Administration with GOP members of Congress, the more the better. In the interim before their replacements are elected, Speaker Jeffries can do a lot of good work.
This outburst makes him look kind of tough but Iโ€™ve met him a few times and I honestly think MAGA will eat him alive and heโ€™ll be a Jeff Sessions type that gets purged fast
If thatโ€™s his view on Ukraine, this sounds like GOPers leaking their wish, hoping the media talks about how great he would be, thereby convincing Trump. Trump is not inclined to take someone wanting to stop Russiaโ€™s invasion.
Interesting. Not sure how much it matters what legislators believe prior to a Trump appointment. Post appointment theyโ€™ll fall in line or will be swiftly replaced.
1. Thatโ€™s a good thing. 2. Not saying Iโ€™m happy about this administration in the slightest but anyone who wants to punch Matt Gaetz is ok in my book.
He may be hawkish on Ukraine, but I just think it looks like this is a more credible analysis

I'm pretty sure we were all duped by Elon. The way I see it, his support for MAGA started long before his actual announcement for supporting Trump, and I'm pretty sure he was already planning to use Twitter as a political tool when he bought it. Elon is not stupid. He may be
