So Hegseth is blaming the Ukrainians and saying Elon made the decision to downgrade Ukraine’s Starlink service? Isn’t that completely different from Rubio’s explanation that it was a technical glitch? Days into this scandal and they can’t seem to get their stories straight.

Correct that finger-pointing on Starlink/Starshield throttling is all over the map, but Rubio’s β€˜technical glitch’ explanation was in reference to early warning systems (like SBIRS) and a separate/distinct issue from Starlink/Starshield.

Again no proof of anything was wrong to analyze has been provided by Ukraine in public. One can not troubleshoot an issue without data & Ukraine hasn’t provided data that we can analyze.

Rubio also said Ukraine has no access to Starshield and Elon said it's the government calling the shots on Starshield, not SpaceX. 3 people with 4 different versions of the story.

Starshield systems are owned and controlled by the US government. Any limits on speed or usage are decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS. Starlink is a commercial service owned and controlled by SpaceX. Usage of Starlink is limited to civilian or defensive activities
