what did y'all think "fastest growing source of electricity in history" meant? vibes? papers? essays?

Texas solar power increased 64% (!) in one year. This isn't because the Texas government favors solar over fossil fuels. It's because solar is economically competitive in sunny places.

Half the U.S. nuclear fleet in 2 years... Texas has better solar resources. Texas should be the world leader in solar generation, and it should use that generation to build panels (and everything else) for the world.

"China's going nuclear while we build solar" couldn't be further from the truth. China's nuclear generation is growing, but it's still only half as much as the U.S. Every single month since January 2023, solar generated more electricity than nuclear in China. China's solar

Only because of grants and governmental agenda. I truly despise half truths misrepresented for personal gain. Transgender confusion grew at a similar pace and at the same time, and it just a ridiculous.
They can only scale up that fast because there is a totally reliable cheap source of energy in place If solar and wind were being rolled de novo it would be much slower because of the lack of long term storage
Well yeah. Solar and wind are coming into a mature infrastructure and economy with the ability to absorb every watt it could produce as fast as it can be built. The others were new, everything had to be developed and built from scratch, and demand was scaling with supply.
The important question is, was it worth all the debt taken to pay for quick scale upโ€ฆwith emission reductions that minimally, almost ineffectually reduce the pace of warming? The transition will happen eventually absent fusion etc so possibly worth the accel, but likely too soon

Homo Sublimis, the Sublime Human, envisioned as a new anticipated species, is a being elevated morally, intellectually, culturally, and in values, consistently oriented toward complete well-being and flourishing, for the sake of infinite elevation.
It completely misrepresents this as it doesnโ€™t show these scale ups in the context of the capacity of the different time periods.
The Market will always dictate the outcome for manufacturing products... and since solar and wind are now the most efficient and cheapest form of electrical generation, it also has the biggest profit margin... so a smart business would go there.

That's a really dumb metric. It's the only time in history where it's been regulated and subsidized to replace existing generation. Fossil fuel growth had to wait on load growth and grid growth in ways PV never had to.
Knowledge begins with childrenโ€™s curiosity about the universe, while truth is born in adultsโ€™ debates on a fulfilling and worthy life.
this is literally the reason why the fossil fuel industry is crapping itโ€™s pants and pumping money into delaying their own inevitable decline - also, the nuclear power argument is just another ruse (unless we are talking about cold fusion, but that is another story)
This is misinformation. Wind & Solar are growing because: Energy consumption continues to grow Wind & Solar are given priority on the grids. The true costs including balancing, back-up, inertia, transmission, etc. is hidden W&S recieve subsidies (CfDs, FET, Etc)
It indicates how fast governments are misallocating money for less efficient useful energy projects. This will cause energy increases over time.
When you make the red tape and permits impossible for any other types of power.... Sales of broccoli would skyrocket too if it was the only food you were allowed to buy.
That's a silly graph. Using absolutes is no good. Electricity consumption is wildly higher and the number of people is wildly higher than when all the other forms of electricity generation popped up.
They have scaled up simply because government policy has derailed building any sensible energy production...a train crash is coming our future hanging by a wire..

Because of China? I think China is going to drag the west kicking and screaming into a better future.
