This is not the case. Multiple jobholders are around 5% of the total employed, roughly where is was pre-pandemic, and below where it was in the 1990s.

My favorite was him trying to diminish the Biden Boom by saying the labor force participation rate age 16+ was down, which of course it was in an aging country. People telling the truth about participation use the 25-54 EPOP.
Dumb or smart, whenever Trump picks someone, it's not like they have that much operative independence anyways -- his picks are mostly just vehicles for his (sometimes daily-shifting) whims.
A classic theme he lies about all the time. The LFPR age 16+ is falling as the country ages, with some small deviation from trends forecast decades ago. People telling the truth use the 25-54 EPOP to evaluate participation.
I have never met the guy, but anyone that acknowledges how screwed up both jobs numbers and cpi numbers are and getting worse over last to decades is a better choice than some that have been appointed to the position dating back to 1993.
I expect we will be adding 100M jobs a month now with unemployment at -100%
Unless he massively implodes Senate Rs will confirm him like the good dogs they are and five seconds later will say they regret it
Should never be confirmed, but Senate track record on vetting Trump choices is fairly obvious at this point.
Antoni constantly posts misleading charts and graphs on X. Simple things like using different scales for x and y axis, or bold pronouncements without taking into account precipitating circumstances like boomer retirements. I often asked respectful questions. He never engaged.
Maybe the republican senators can grow a spine and reject this nominee but I doubt it.
Spend enough time lying and you no longer know the truth.
The guy who lies about being 6'3" and 225, should not be in charge of statistics
Why would it be better for him to be a competent person lying to manipulate people for political purposes than an incompetent person. Sounds like incompetence might be the better option here.
You'd rather have the country fail than have trump succeed. I doubt you've admitted this to yourself yet, so I don't expect you to acknowledge it here.
Trump obviously doesn’t hire for experience, skill or competence. He hires those who will bend the truth to his liking so he can continue his fascist, authoritarian agenda along with his complicit collaborators. They’re all in cahoots.
So we won’t know if his September report that we added 6 million jobs is just a lie or a math error?
If only there was an alternative candidate who ran for president last year.
If only that candidate and the party were not subject to an endless smear campaign from the media and pundits.
If only …
