Every time you hear Kamala say “I’ll work to cut red tape” you have to remember: she and Joe Biden added more new red tape than any presidency in modern history. One big reason their rural broadband and EV chargers haven’t been built? Cartoonish red tape and regulations.

Our nation’s housing supply is too low, and your rent is too high. My plan will fix it. I’ll work to cut red tape to build more homes and crack down on corporate landlords.
To qualify for a grant to build an EV charger you have to engage in what Pete Buttigieg and DOT would consider “intentional outreach to underserved communities” including “block parties” with “multilingual staff to interact with those “who speak languages other than English.”

They spent $43B of our tax dollars on rural broadband. 3 years later nobody has been connected. Why? Because to qualify to build networks you have to *prioritize hiring people with criminal records.* And “account for” how bad weather events are the result of climate change.

And of course, “underserved” is a euphemism, a deceit, for: the most served. It’s great to serve the needy, especially when it lifts up. Let’s not drape it in dishonesty.
From Grok: Authorization vs. Spending: $42.45 billion (often rounded to $43 billion) was authorized for the BEAD program to expand high-speed internet access, particularly in rural areas. However, the actual amount spent by January 2025 appears to be significantly less.

You're missing the point, Matt. $43B is meant to go to people: Dem-stuffed NGO's who will provide nice jobs to people who will vote Democrat because they'd starve in a real economy. How many engineers do you think are involved in the broadband or EV charger programs? ~None.
It totally makes sense that the gubmint will pay you to put this incendiary device in underserved neighborhoods.....to charge cars of people who do not have driver's licenses. 🤪🤪🤪🤪
DEI is extra redtape that has nothing to do with permitting & installing EV chargers & only slows down the various local building dept. red tape for safety & compliance.

Wouldn't underserved communities mean communities without chargers already rather than putting yet more in wealthy communities? And is it really so much to ask for multilingual staff in this day and age?
Jesus Christ why is it that everything these people do sounds like it came out of a high school sophomore group project?
In order to build an EV charger, you need to throw a block party so perfectly encapsulates why every single one of these people can't get catapulted out of DC fast enough
This may seem like a dumb idea, but a lot of EV charger locations are spread by word of mouth, so a block party is actually an excellent idea. The US doesn't have an official language, so not limiting it to one language also makes sense.
Ridiculous. Too much red tape to accomplish anything. Good riddance Pete. Why would someone in need of an EV charger reach out to underserved communities? Are there a lot of EVs in those communities? 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Why would you be surprised? This person, PB, spent huge $ to identify “racist highways”.. it’s all a money laundering scam brought to you by the current White House.
why do you need a grant from the Government if building the chargers makes sense economically? If the chargers are charity paid for by the Government, then the Govt prolly should be able to direct your efforts
