Can't wait to pay $300 for a pair of shoes. I don't think we should be taking business advice from a guy who couldn't make a drop ship coffee business work with infinite free advertising.

Those new Nikes will be much more expensive, when they are finally available in a few years. Americans will buy fewer shoes starting tomorrow. Fewer staff needed in that supply chain. More workers needed to build new Nike factories, which need resources. Those resources must come
Would them making shoes in America be great, yea sure, would the average American want or afford the prices those shoes would be if they were in Americaโ€ฆ.no.
You gonna grow your cocoa, tea and coffee beans from now on in the USA too? ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
I was just in Vietnam. Because so many shoes and clothes are made there it cost 80% less to buy it in Vietnam. The stuff was crazy cheap.
If Nike moved production to the U.S., labor costs would be 15โ€“20x higher per worker, not to mention the billions it would cost to build and operate factories here. Even with the 46% tariff, shifting production to America would just drive prices way up for consumers anyway.
Its only a drop of 10%, which is pretty normal for stocks like Tesla. It may be a wakeup call to woke Nike, but its nothing compared to other stock swings.
These things are grotesquely overpriced anyway. The company could manufacture them in Switzerland and still would make insane profit.
Maybe you should make some shoes rather than offer political/economic insights. I canโ€™t imagine you being any worse at that.
Of courseโ€ฆ. Just move 130 factories to America over 20 years and start paying people 20 dollars an hour to build shoe so that we can all buy $3,000 Nikes! What a brilliant fucking plan!
Another right wing grifter that uses outsourced labor

So why wasnโ€™t that done before? Answer, Nike make a bigger profit by outsourcing manufacturing to a country where people are paid less. Americans will want to be paid more for the same work, and therefore Nikeโ€™s profits drop. Americans wonโ€™t or canโ€™t pay higher prices.
The shit you sell isn't even made in America, but my favorite thing about you morons talking about "just make it in America" is you talk like you can just get a modern factory built in a few months. You should be dragged along the bottom of a river.
This incredibly embarrassing.

Do you understand how long it takes to set up a supply chain? To plan it, build it, staff it and scale it? It doubtful we even have the skilled labor in this country to do this. It could literally take a decade to change that! I'm all for making shoes in America but it takes time
Ah, yes, those millions of Americans dreaming of working at shoe factories, I see that flood of applicants. They wonโ€™t know what to do with all those cvโ€™s
