This needs to be changed. This is gamed by bad actors to limit the reach of accounts they don't like.

The negative weights for actions like reports cannot be gamed by mass reporting via direct links, as they only apply to posts served in users' Home Timelines. github.com/xai-org/x-algo… x.com/nikitabier/sta…

Do they know if you actually send the copied link? Or does a user simply clicking the “share-> copy link” buttons give the post an additional 20 weight? I also assume they detect against sock puppet alts to boost engagement
I'm surprised they did that. I would have expected them to share the algorithm but keep the weights as environment variables.
reporting is equivalent to (negative) 468 likes it makes sense why mass-report-farms on telegram run amok
So a mute is ~twice as bad as a block. That’s interesting. I guess it’s more of a legitimate content signal vs a block which can be more “rage induced.”

Love that muting people hurts them more than blocking. That's what I've been doing to all slop shit I've been seeing on my timeline for a while now.
So if I just indiscriminately report every Indian and "south asian" post i come across i can cull them from my algorithm
Hmm. That may well confirm that I got mass reported when I was dunking on H1B then my views tanked off a cliff.
Share via copy link and reply if mutual follow+original post 40 weights it’s so exciting 🙀
Interesting that opening a link has such a low weight to it. Keeping people on platform I suppose.
Real cool seeing X being transparent, at least I now know what kills my reach.
People will get very confused. Reminder, these are not the weights of the actions a user does. These are the weights of the Phoenix scorer which predicts your actions.
