Hi Kelsey, long time follower. Are you already aware of 's writing on how TurboTax is a scapegoat here, and the reasons are more related to Americans for Tax Reform?

Seems DirectFile is still up. It’s the working group that was removed. DirectFile is an unambiguous good that was created by law so they better not break it.
Disagree. There is a unresolvable conflict of interest when the government makes taxes rules (complex) then 'offers' to do them for you.

Turbo Tax does something AI can do for completely free for anyone with tax affairs that simple. Businesses like Turbo Tax may not even exist any more in a few years. A lot of this hysteria will look really stupid in the fullness of time.
