This is very likely Trump's most consequentially bad decision. RFK Jr. is cancelling cancer vaccine research and all mRNA vaccine research. And his decisions are all based on quack science. There were qualified conservative scientists for this post, and Trump picked a meme.

RFK JR: I’m looking at kids as I walk through the airports today...and I see these kids that are just overburdened with mitochondrial challenges, inflammation—you can tell from their faces, movements, and lack of social connection

Trump almost certainly did it because he made a deal to get the RFK votes (MAHA)? My prediction from around April was RFK would go too far (he cannot restrain himself on vaccines) and be out by the end of the year. May still happen.
Scientists? You mean the liars and on-the-take crooks paid off by Pharma who pretend this stuff hasn't maimed and killed millions?
Dude, the mRNA platform is dangerous. It shouldn’t have been deployed and no one knows the long term effects of the negligence that has been done. You’re talking about manipulation of the human genome. That’s not one person. It’s the whole pool. There’s been issues with shedding,
No. He's not. He's taking away government funding for it. Which is perfectly legit. Cancer isn't a virus; you cannot vaccinate for it. mRNA technology is as dangerous as it comes. Things with RNA don't have DNA, in order to reproduce it attaches to DNA. RFKjr is spending on
I got the jab and I still got Covid. We were taught in school 30 years ago that there is no vaccine for coronavirus. That’s still true today. If you want to call it a therapeutic, I think that’s acceptable.
> “Trump's most consequentially bad decision” This is kinda like naming your favorite Beatles song. It’s usually just whichever one you’re thinking about at the time.
on the plus side, being able to diagnose mitochondrial challenges with a casual glance is quite the medical breakthrough
I wouldn’t even call it “quack science”…makes it sounds like there some science mixed in somewhere. It’s anti-science, aggressively so. It’s based on feelings and certainties with no basis in science or research.
I was sincerely disappointed that a journalist I respect has fallen prey to RFKJ rhetoric, and is prone to assert that absence of evidence of dystopic theories are no reason to lose faith that there must be a pony in there somewhere (to mix metaphors)

YOU: “The common medical establishment’s insistence on pinning down a single culprit as ‘causal’ before doctors will acknowledge any link is a smokescreen—one that conveniently hides the bigger picture. And let’s be honest: that’s exactly what some want, especially those who

Reminds me of all the controversy over his far right judicial picks and I just screamed, “there’s a whole industry of Republican tax lawyers that you can fill the courts with that will get 80 Senate votes.”
If this is your opinion then you have no idea of how qualified RFK Jr. is for this position and for bringing “Gold Standard” science back to the CDC and HHS. Spent his whole adult life preparing for this…look into it, what he says not what someone else say about his opinions.
I'm being let go of my job in immunizations. Children are gonna die. In general people are going to die. Due to this crackpot.
he can tell by how little kids look at airports? maybe it's because they are like 6 yrs old and surrounded by thousands of strangers and worried about keeping track of Mom & Dad? Dumb AF.
With RFK Jr's latest proclamation requiring people to visit their doctor to get approval for a Covid vaccine, you can expect to see vaccinations drop and people will die.
That statement is materially false. He's cancelling government contracts for mRNA vaccine research. Universities and the Private Sector are free to do the research on their nickel and they have billions to do it.
He’s eliminating the quack science and steady diet of profit gouging from the of the rails pharmaceutical industry.
